What is Haven Mercer?
Haven Mercer is a New York-based financial services company that delivers differentiated financial products and solutions to our customers.
Haven Mercer was founded on the belief that there are better ways to provide financial services. We are identifying these and building them.
Today, we are standardizing a new exit pathway for internal ownership transitions of founder and family-owned businesses in the US.
With our approach, we are transforming installment sales / seller finance into an institutional-grade financial asset and the option of first resort for internal ownership transitions.
Our Leadership
Case Matheis, CFA · Founder & CEO
Prior to founding Haven Mercer, Case spent 10 years across capital markets, fixed income, private credit, and family office investment management. He earned his CFA Charter in 2021.
Most recently, he was the VP of Private Investments at Bender Equity, a New York-based family office. Prior to that, he spent 6 years as a Private Credit Investment Manager at MA Asset Management (Moelis Australia).
Case graduated from Duke University in 2016, where he was a two-time lacrosse National Champion and 2016 team co-captain. He is a member of the Connecticut Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
What Does Haven Mercer Do?
Through Managed Credit Ownership Transitions (MCOTs), Haven Mercer serves as the lender on behalf of sellers who use installment sales to transfer ownership internally.
Arms-length intermediation sets fair terms and durable structures built for success, with potential for liquidity or credit enhancement through a centralized platform.
We manage every stage of an installment sale, from initial underwriting through the final payment.
